Easy to download and install with options for Trip.com app or with the QR code (I used the QR code in the end). Roaming from France but works well in HK with 3G 4G options not sure if have 5G yet!

I activated it upon landing. 10 GB was enough for an eight-day stay, including data transfer to a second phone, maps, social media, and banking. The connection was excellent both in mainland China and in Hainan.

I used this app for a short-term study abroad program. Installing it on my smartphone was easy, and I had no problems. Perhaps because my study abroad location was in a rural area, I sometimes had trouble connecting to the internet. However, I was able to make phone calls without any issues!
