Carlos is an incredibly wonderful and authentic guide, and you can feel his passion throughout the entire tour. What he told us about the history and about Brazil was extremely fascinating and moving. We wholeheartedly recommend this tour to everyone! Here you see what life in Rio is really like behind the facade. And it was simply impressive and beautiful to see how close-knit and peaceful the people are in the Rocinha favela. P.S.: We never felt unsafe at any point!★

This was a great day trip, we really enjoyed ourselves and got a lot out of it! Our guide Julio was amazing, so knowledgeable about the area and history. And he spoke four languages to make sure everyone understood everything. He guided us through the imperial museum with interesting historical information to give context to what we were looking at. Lunch was a buffet with good quality food and huge variety. We finished up outside the house of Alberto Santos Dumont which we did not know much about - look him up and spend a bit of time there, our only regret of the day is skipping that because of the weather and eating extra chocolate at the cafe! We saw and learned a lot about Petropolis, and it was a big day with great value!★
