Reviews: Qatar West Coast tour, Zekreet, Richard Serra Sculpture, Mushroom Rock Formation
Guest User2025-12-05
On 28.11.2025 we decided to take a tour of the west coast of Qatar. Our tour guide Ahmad picked us up from the hotel and headed west. The first place we visited was the Brook Reserve. There, in the middle of the desert landscape, the internationally renowned artist Richard Serra is building the sculpture “East-West/West-East”. Standing next to the four steel plates, one feels small. We also managed to see the huge mushroom-shaped structures characteristic of this area. The film city was a place we wanted to visit. We managed to get there after a long journey. To visit it, it is necessary to purchase tickets on site or online for 50 QAR per person. It is open for visits from 26.11.2025 to 17.01.2026. Entering the city, the organizers welcome guests in a traditional way. The atmosphere inside is authentic. A female ensemble performs folk songs. Wild animals, camels and other animals are offered to be seen in the area. An open-top safari in the local area is offered. Our guide Ahmad also took us to the camel track. There were no races, but we were able to see where they are held when there are. The west coast is interesting and worth seeing. Thank you to Golden Adventures. Thank you to our guide Ahmad for his diligence and attention to us all the time. Hristo and Tsveti, Sofia, Bulgaria
Reviews: North Qatar Tour | Zubara Fort | Purple Island | Mangros Colony
Guest User2025-12-05
We are writing this summary a few days after our return to Bulgaria. On 27.11.2025 we had a half-day tour of Northern Qatar. They picked us up from the hotel, then we took the highway north of Doha. The first point on the program was Al Khor, one of the largest cities in Qatar. It is noticeable that new buildings are being built in the city, and facilities are being improved. Al Khor has the appearance of a modern city, unlike the past, when it was known for its pearl mining and its port with fishing boats and vessels. The Purple Island is another interesting place that we visited with our tour guide Sajid. The island is uninhabited. Here you can observe marine species and take a canoe trip. It is connected to the mainland by a wooden path surrounded by mangrove forests. After taking nice photos and videos, we headed to Al Zubara Fort. We saw that the fort had thick walls, four towers, and there was also a well for drinking water, but over time it dried up. Today, the premises of Al Zubara serve as a museum. From the materials placed in the rooms, one can learn about the life of people in Qatar in the 18th-19th centuries. After exploring the fort, we asked our guide to take us to “Shadows Traveling on the Sea of Day,” created by the Icelandic-Danish artist Olafur Eliasson. The twenty round shelters seem scattered across the desert landscape, but they are arranged according to the axes of a pentagonal pattern. Ten of them, which are in the center, form a pentagram, and the lower sides of the round roofs are covered with mirror panels. Everything we saw on the half-day tour was very interesting for us. We thank Golden Adventures for their assistance in making the excursion possible. We thank our guide Sajid for being with us and taking us to visit and explore these interesting places in Northern Qatar. Hristo and Tsveti, Sofia, Bulgaria

Qatar is not a very large country, so we were able to enjoy the desert, ruins, and seaside nature even in half a day. Salieu explained various things about the scenery we could see from the window during the car ride. We were picked up at our hotel on the way there and were supposed to be dropped off at the hotel on the way back, but when I made a last-minute request to visit the National Library of Doha, which I had wanted to see, he took us there instead. I was very satisfied.
Reviews: Qatar eSIM | 5G/4G | Daily/Total Data Package | 1–30 days | 24-Hour Billing | QR code
Guest User2026-03-25
I used an eSIM with 10GB data for my trip from 18–21 March, and honestly it worked really well. We only used it whenever we went out since I was driving most of the time, and even then we didn’t manage to finish the data — still had more than 5GB left by the end of the trip. So I’d say the data is more than enough for short travel. The connection was stable and smooth throughout the journey, which made navigation and staying connected very easy. What I liked most is that once we reached the Saudi border, the network switched automatically without any issues. No need to change settings or anything — super convenient. Overall, very worth it and hassle-free. Definitely would use it again for future trips 👍
Reviews: Doha: Inland Sea Tour, 4x4 Desert Safari/All Activities
Guest User2026-01-18
I had a really a great time under Hassan’s guide. It turns out i was alone in the tour so he accommodated my request to focus more on the Inland Sea and stay long there. He has been really helpful from assisting me into the meet up point and had me entertained the entire ride. Also fun having the dune bashing! Highly recommend him.
