I was initially worried about the accommodations: although the star rating didn't seem high, I found them to be very clean, well-equipped, and comfortable upon check-in. The tour guide was excellent, very enthusiastic, and frequently reminded travelers of things to be aware of and shopping risks. The itinerary wasn't rushed; each day's itinerary was basically finished between 4 and 6 pm, allowing us to return to the hotel to rest or explore on our own. Since round-trip airfare was included in the tour package, and there was airport transfer service, there was no need to worry about being left unattended or missing our flights. Breakfast was included at the hotel and was decent. Lunch was also included in the tour package, with ten people per table; the portions were reasonable, and each day's lunch was better than the previous day's—this was probably a strategy by the tour company to make the food feel increasingly better.

Overall, I was fairly satisfied. National Highway 318 is difficult to drive, but the tour company's driver was very experienced. However, even though our itinerary was supposed to be a self-guided tour, we still had to be careful about stopping to take photos with the driver along the way. The itinerary for Yading Scenic Area was not perfect; it was too rushed, and we didn't have enough time to enjoy it.
