We spent an unforgettable half day exploring Johannesburg and Soweto with Thabiso, and it was hands-down one of the best tours we've ever done. A tour of Soweto with Thabang of Tsalanang Tours was an absolute highlight of our first trip (family of four, two older teenagers) to South Africa, and is a must when visiting Johannesburg! In his comfortable bus, he took us round several different areas of the city. We saw all the different nuances and complexities and he gave us his honest and personal view on living there. Soweto is not just what you see on the television. It is a place where there is a great sense of community and where all social classes live. We also heard some very humorous anecdotes and thoroughly enjoyed the time there and our contact with our knowledgeable guide. We felt completely safe and would certainly do the tour again!
