Convenient. I bought an E-SIM card while still in Russia, and upon arrival in Thailand, I scanned the QR code and activated the SIM card, connecting to free Wi-Fi at the airport. Excellent connection quality, including the ability to share internet via a hotspot. 5G is also available. Great price.
