The day trip was a great experience; the itinerary was well-planned and the pace was relaxed and not rushed. We met at the agreed-upon location, and the entire journey was quiet and peaceful. Most importantly, no one kept asking for a review after the trip, which was excellent. It would have been even better if the driver had provided some commentary along the way.ā

š³ 3 Must-Do Things at Amanohashidate
1ļøā£ Climb to the top of "Umbrella Pine Park" for a bird's-eye view of the sandbar
ā Take the cable car to the top (round trip Ā„720), and take a "reverse Fuji" composition from the viewpoint overlooking the sea.
ā Hidden spot: The west side of the observation deck at the top of the mountain offers a stunning view of the sandbar and the Aso Sea side-by-side!
2ļøā£ Walk barefoot on the "Natural White Sand Beach"
ā Take off your shoes and walk on 2km of pure white sand. The seawater washing over your ankles at high tide is incredibly soothing.
ā Rent a bicycle (Ā„500/hour) and chase seagulls along the sandbar, feeling the shape of the wind.
3ļøā£ Visit "Chieunji Temple" for amulets
ā Vermilion torii gates paired with century-old pine trees; seek amulets for academic success/marriage (from Ā„800).
ā Touch the "Manjushri Wisdom Wheel" and spin it three times; legend says it will make you smarter!ā

I took a one-day tour with Guide Oh Seok-bong, and I had such a great time because he was so cheerful and kind. It is a tour I definitely want to do again if I come to Japan next time. The guide was so friendly that I felt great throughout the entire tour!! āØāØā

This itinerary is highly recommended! š Visiting temples is a common part of any trip to Japan, and they're often quite similar, but Katsuo-ji Temple is exceptionally beautiful and uniquely designed. The temple grounds are filled with adorable little Daruma dolls placed throughout. This itinerary also includes outlet shopping for bargains. After walking around the outlet, our legs were sore, so we immediately headed to a hot spring resort for a foot bath. Having visited Osaka several times, this day trip still offers fresh sights and great flexibility. Finally, a shout-out to our Beijing friend, Mr. Cheng, for providing a safe and comfortable ride. He chatted with us throughout the journey, and we'll definitely use him again next time!ā
