Reviews: Nagano: 1-Day Snow Monkey & Cherry Blossom Tour in Spring
Guest User2025-04-30
It was very good. The guide communicated clearly, took care of everyone, and provided valuable information about the history of the towns and their inhabitants. Highly recommended. It would be great if such tours could be offered in multiple languages in the future, such as Spanish.
Reviews: Nagano/Matsumoto: Matsumoto Castle and Narai-juku Day Trip
Guest User2026-02-26
I had the most perfect day! Endo San, our tour guide, is a retired professor which makes him the most incredible and knowledgeable tour guide. As one of the only remaining original castles from the Edo period, the Matsumoto Castle is a must visit for anyone that admires history. Visiting a traditional town and home in Narai-juku was a dream. I would recommend not missing the headless Virgen Mary, now a Shinto shrine, but also done so Christians that had to keep their religion hidden could visit during the 1700's. I hope you are lucky enough to have Endo San take you out for one of the most insightful visits I have had while in Japan!!!
Reviews: 1 Day Tour: Snow Monkeys & Snow Fun in Shiga Kogen
Guest User2026-03-17
We had the greatest day exploring Shiga Kogan and Jugokudani with Joyce. She was so warm, friendly and kind to us! We were somehow, amazingly fortunate enough to be the only two on our tour so we coincidentally had a private tour and ended up chatting to Joyce nearly all day. We loved the ability to explain Japanese culture comparisons between other Western cultures. We booked this tour as we couldn’t make a day trip from Tokyo just make sense to see what we were able to on this tour. We didn’t need to worry about trains and buses or where our bags were. If you have limited time and little kids or even big kids who have never seen snow before, I would absolutely hands down recommend this tour. We enjoyed our delicious lunch and the snow monkeys, probably worth noting there is hire footwear options but the conditions weren’t too bad on the day we went. This is very handy though if you’re having to keep your shoes clean for the rest of your trip. 10/10 recommend this tour
