Works as expected in Germany, signal quality not overwhelming but fair. I was unable to see the actual usage data on the trip.com site, it still shows as "ready to install" even after returning from my trip.

The card was functional only in FRANCE. Check well and claim before. What I recommend... Take a map directly with your destination COUNTRY. La carte était fonctionnelle uniquement en FRANCE. Bien vérifier et réclamer avant. Ce que je recommande… Prenez directement une carte avec votre PAYS de destination.

I used it last time too, and I'm happy with the service, as it worked without any issues! It also sends SMS alerts about scams, so it's great for safety and can be used safely. However, it's important to be aware that the signal can be weaker inside buildings, so it's a good idea to use it with caution!
