Reviews: Materuni Waterfall and Coffee Plantation Half Day Tour

Really great experience! Guide was very pleasant and polite. He answered all the questions and told about village and it's life. Making coffee yourself is something unique and unforgettable. Dinner was really delicious. So i can reccomend this tour for everyone!

Wonderful service. From the guide to the driver. Everything was coordinated! The route was long, but beautiful and action-packed. I had a birthday party and they surprised me. The energy of the people was simply amazing.

Reviews: Materuni Waterfalls & Chemka Hotsprings Day Trip
Guest User2026-10-22
The transfer and driver were excellent. We really enjoyed the guide in Materuni village and the waterfall; he gave us an engaging introduction to the place and the plants that grow there. He explained the coffee and demonstrated the entire process, and took some beautiful photos. The springs weren't quite as expected; they weren't hot or even warm. There was no running water in the restroom, and we used the toilets from the changing room. We were charged $15 for the laps/camera, even though it wasn't advertised anywhere.

(*Written in Japanese at the bottom for Japanese people.) I booked the safari tour and airplane ticket on the same day, I didn’t have any expectations for the waterfall and coffee-making tour on the last day. However, not only was the waterfall amazing, but the Materuni-style coffee-making process, from preparation to brewing a single cup, was incredibly enjoyable! I’d love to write more in detail, but I highly recommend visiting the area and experiencing it for yourself. The safari was, of course, fun as well, but I realized that experiences like this will likely become treasured memories in our life. Tanzania has many tourist attractions, but I definitely suggest adding Materuni Waterfall to your list. I’m sure it will be an unforgettable experience. I hope you have a wonderful trip to Tanzania! 🇹🇿 I booked my flight and safari tour on the day of my trip, so the Materoni Waterfall visit and coffee-making demonstration on the last day were suggested by the tour company, and I wasn't aware of them beforehand. Therefore, I didn't expect them to be particularly interesting. However, not only was Materoni Waterfall magnificent, but the Materoni coffee-making process, from the brewing method to the finished cup, was incredibly enjoyable! I'd love to write about it in detail, but I highly recommend experiencing it for yourself. The safari was also fun, of course, but I realized that these kinds of "experiences" are what truly create wonderful memories in our lives. Tanzania has many tourist attractions, but I highly recommend adding Materoni Waterfall to your list of choices. I'm sure you'll have a great experience. I hope you have a wonderful trip to Tanzania! 🇹🇿
