We got 2 e-SIM cards for a trip. I bought and installed them in Russia (because you need good internet for installation). We turned them on in Egypt. The single card is excellent, and the internet was available everywhere.

Quick installation on iPhone, activation upon arrival in Egypt. Internet speed was sufficient, with a strong signal in Hurghada, Luxor, and Cairo. There was no connection on a short stretch of the route between Hurghada and Luxor.

This trip involved visiting three countries in a short period with very short stays at each location. While purchasing separate eSIMs might be cheaper, it wouldn't be possible to predict data usage in each location. So, I opted for an eSIM that works in 100 different regions, which is incredibly convenient. Although customer service advised activating it upon arrival, since it included Taiwan, I installed and activated it in Taiwan before boarding. Plus, it's calculated 24/7, which is truly fantastic.
