What an experience! Was on holiday Pisa Italy. Would like to visit a winery. Found Tenuta Adamo which is 12 km north of Lucca which is 1/2 hour by train from Pisa. Called at 9 and asked if we could come in the afternoon and how we got up there from Lucca. No problems will be picked up at the station and driven back. Everything at a reasonable price according to Azinda / the owner. Tasted 5 different wines, cheese, sausages and ham. Wow, how delicious it was. Sat outside and had an unobstructed view of the vineyards. Definitely the best experience on our holiday. Price more than fare, good price. Many thanks Azienda, wife and employees. A very pleasant experience in a convivial and international atmosphere. The two ladies who led the course were welcoming and helpful, and had everything planned precisely. Perhaps, if I had to offer a couple of suggestions, it would be nice to receive a little more explanation on how the number of drops for each chosen note is calculated, and I would suggest having no more than 10 people in attendance to avoid excessively long and empty waits when the amount of drops for each person is determined. These are small details, however, and the experience is recommended for those looking for a more general introduction to this method!

Lovely and educational experience. Wines and food were tasty, drive to the tasting room is beautiful, and close to San Gimignano. We are not connoisseurs, but thoroughly enjoyed it. Certainly over delivered for the cost. As soon as we entered the tasting room and saw the lovely set up, I knew that there would be a sales pitch at the end. Wines were quite pricey. We left a generous tip and bowed out without an additional purchase. If this is a challenge for you, be prepared to drop some cabbage. Highly recommend the experience.
