Reviews: Luang Prabang Pau Caves and Kuang Si Falls one-day tour[Mekong River Cruise to Pau Caves]

I took this tour solo, and it was full of pleasant surprises! It was an English-speaking tour, but the local guide who guided me spoke excellent Japanese! He'd spent three months in Japan, so he spoke to me in Japanese, which was very reassuring for someone like me who isn't fluent in English! I thought the tour would end with the cave and waterfall, but he took me to two local villages and had lunch at an elephant camp, where I got to interact with elephants, which was fantastic! Crossing the Mekong River by boat was also a truly valuable experience! We weren't supposed to see the sunset, but the weather wasn't great, so I didn't even notice! I didn't have to force myself to talk to the other people on the tour, so I had plenty of time to enjoy the tour by myself, which I thought was great! Even though I don't speak English, the people around me were very kind and helpful, so I think even Japanese people who aren't comfortable communicating in English will enjoy this tour! I highly recommend it!
Reviews: Luang Prabang: Kuang Si Waterfall, kayaking, elephant camp, buffalo farm, Hmong village, rice field tour

I was picked up from the guesthouse around 10 a.m. A tuk-tuk of some sort pulled up. There was a driver and an organizer. There were only two seats in the cab, and they offered me the front, but I wanted to sit in the back. I hung around there for over an hour until we reached the waterfall. On the way to the waterfall, they dropped me off at some village where they showed me some old tools and a primitive crossbow. I had to pay for the ticket myself. We drove to the waterfall parking lot, and the driver gave me a ticket to enter the waterfall. I stayed there for about two hours: I looked at the waterfalls, went ziplining (I paid $30), and ate ice cream. The driver met me at the parking lot, and we went rafting (kayaking). The trip down the river was about 10-15 minutes, but I didn't have to pay. I was accompanied by an instructor who didn't speak English. After that, we headed back to the city. We stopped at an elephant village along the way, but I had to buy a ticket, so I declined and we continued on. The driver then stopped at an ice cream stand, but I'd already finished eating at the waterfall. We returned to the city.
Reviews: Full day / Half Day Kayaking and Pak Ou Caves with optional sunset cruise

The views were amazing, Pak Ou Caves were truly phenomenal, breathtaking even! We kayaked down the Mekong river and had a lovely buffet lunch at the end of it, only for an elephant to wander up to our table and see what we were having for lunch! One of the best things about this trip was our tour guide, Vone. Vone was a charismatic man, with immense knowledge on the features of the tour, he was very helpful in guiding us through the river comfortably. I slipped on a few steps coming down from the Pak Ou caves, and although I was perfectly fine, Vone was super vigilant and ran to check if I was okay! Lovely trip, amazing tour guide! Would recommend 🇱🇦
