Easy to use with good coverage overall, though in the mountainous areas of the South Island, coverage for all operators is quite limited unless you use a satellite connection.

I've been traveling for three months: Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Thailand, and Malaysia. I've never had any internet issues. The connection is stable, the speed is good, and the 10 GB of data is enough for maps, messaging, and ordering a taxi. I recommend it. I've been using Trip offers for years. Convenient country combination. Everything worked without any unnecessary switching in China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Vietnam. There were some internet drops in crowded areas (at top attractions), but nothing critical. Overall, I liked the SIM card.

So convenient! I gave it to my husband. Since my phone is a mainland China version and can't use eSIM, I made sure to check eSIM compatibility before buying. For Chinese travelers, I still recommend buying a physical roaming SIM card in China for convenience. If you're living abroad like me and have just bought a mainland China version phone, I suggest buying a physical SIM card locally. You can also buy an eSIM card changer.
