We visited Katakolon as part of a cruise. The meeting point was near the port. We registered there and then departed very punctually by bus to Elis, where we had about 25 minutes, which was plenty of time. The guide spoke English, which wasn't a problem for us. We then continued on to the beach. There, the guide took us to a beach restaurant called Cabana. If you ate or drank there, you could use the sun loungers and umbrellas free of charge. There was even a lounger service. The staff was generally very friendly! The gyros with pita and tzatziki, as well as the Greek salad, are highly recommended :-) The guide and bus driver were with us in the restaurant the whole time and were readily available. A great excursion for those who have already seen Olympia and only want to see "a few stones" and then spend some relaxing time on the beach. Highly recommended.

Just what I wanted for this outing, reliable, comfortable transportation to ancient Olympia. The check-in spot was exactly as shown in the booking confirmation, bus large and well air conditioned. A careful tally of ticket holders both coming and going. Simple, well run transport on time. Done just right.

We spent an amazing day being shown around by Andreas. The ride was VERY comfortable for our party of 7. He was knowledgeable about the area and made sure that we were able to travel at our own place and mindful that we could avoid the crowds as much as possible. This was such a relaxing day. Ended with a wonderful meal at a restaurant that was recommended by him and shopping. Perfect!

Great little tour if your on a cruise. Got to spend plenty of time at Olympia, snack and beers after, then off for an olive oil tasting and capped off with late lunch on the coast.

Overall good experience, beach is wonderful and makes everything perfect:) I didn’t like slow walk on the sun till the bus, and bus driver fixing mike while driving.

We had a tour leader - Antonia - who was excellent - she gave us much information on the way in and some more on the way out. She gave precise instructions relating to time and location and made sure everybody was there. The tour guide was also excellent although I would have liked more time with her.


