Absolutely fantastic tour! The itinerary was a perfect balance of sight seeing and stops to break up the day. The train was a definite highlight for us, and not to be missed. Shoutout to Joel who was a fantastic tour guide, very engaging and friendly :)

The train journey was lovely. Beautiful scenery and comfortable seats a buffet car and a viewing platform. The pick up by coach was late, although the coach did come from Christchurch. unfortunately the coach journey was long and so it was a 13 hour day

It was a wonderful day with stunning views of Lake Wanaka and the incomparable blue Hokitika River. We visited the beaches of the Tasman Sea. Jakel was a very communicative and welcoming guide, demonstrating a wealth of knowledge about the region. Like any Kiwi Cheaky Travel guide, he discussed the economy, history, and relevant regional facts. Excellent tour.


