I used a 5G eSIM for travel, and overall it was a very convenient experience. The installation was quick — I just scanned a QR code and the internet started working within a few minutes. It’s great not having to buy a physical SIM card at the airport. The internet speed was fast in big cities, and I could easily use maps, social media, and video calls without problems. In some areas the connection switched to 4G, but it was still stable enough for everyday use.

We bought an ESIM card in Russia in advance, activated it there after landing in Istanbul, and immediately turned on the ESIM card. The internet speed is top-notch, 4G+5G coverage is good everywhere)) I recommend it.

This trip involved visiting three countries in a short period with very short stays at each location. While purchasing separate eSIMs might be cheaper, it wouldn't be possible to predict data usage in each location. So, I opted for an eSIM that works in 100 different regions, which is incredibly convenient. Although customer service advised activating it upon arrival, since it included Taiwan, I installed and activated it in Taiwan before boarding. Plus, it's calculated 24/7, which is truly fantastic.

An eSIM is the best thing ever for using the internet and messaging apps abroad! The price and quality are simply top-notch. I recommend it to everyone. The only downside is that an eSIM doesn't have a number, so you can't call your personal number or receive SMS messages as payment authentication.


