Great chef and awesome introduction to Vietnamese cuisine. However, my experience was a bit hampered because of the family from Hong Kong with kid/s below 10 years of age (I thought the event was only for those at least 10 years old). The kids were running while we were cooking and I was afraid they might run over the hot pan and may spill the oil. The family also didn’t pay for the father’s participation but he ate a lot (even including the spring rolls which the kids ate a lot of). Otherwise, the recipes were great.

Alex, our host, met us at the market and showed us how locals shop in Vietnam. Afterwards, we took a Grab ride to the venue (paid for by the organizer). It's a friendly and very nice place where you feel comfortable. As a group, we were able to choose two appetizers and one main course to cook together. We opted for banana blossom salad, fresh spring rolls, and pho bo. We also got to taste three different types of rice wine. For dessert, with Alex's help, we could prepare either hot chocolate or coffee with an egg or coconut topping. It was a wonderful experience that Alex made possible. The whole team is very warm and welcoming. You feel at home and learn a lot.

Best experience I had! Clear and deeply teaching us on every steps, beside how to cook, and how to select foods, and step by step very clear, they are speaking good English, very easy to communicate. For sure the meal is workable to cook after back to my home town.

It was really good experience with instructor V. She shared alot of knowledge regarding coffee and also assimilation of coffee culture in Hanoi. I enjoyed the one hour class. Cafe has nice ambiance too with lots of books.

The workshop was super fun! Huyen and team were great instructors and showed made the whole workshop really enjoyable. I wouldn't change anything about it! Didn't even notice 2 hours pass by! I am super happy with the ring I made and would definitely come back again!

The class started with a trip to the market to buy the ingredients that we would cook, and I'm glad I had the opportunity to visit a local food market. The range of vegetables, fruit, noodles for sale was amazing. Hazel was an excellent instructor; she showed us how to use tools and techniques appropriate for each dish and the end results - which we ate for lunch - were delicious.I have to say that it was not a wholly vegan class as we made chicken pho and spring rolls with pork, however Hazel substituted tofu to meet the vegan requirement.


