I recconend this to everyone travelling to Gyeongju! Thank you so much Eunkyo for such a lovely time - she is an excellent teacher but also so friendly and kind! She walked us through every step with great instructions and was great to chat to while we waited for our food to cook :) The market tour was a really great experience and makes you feel welcome and part of the neighbourhood. The food we made was incredible and you get to keep the recipes so you can take a bit of Korea home with you.★

I've been to Korea four times, and this time I wanted to visit a city I hadn't been to before. My trip to Gyeongju was truly a very satisfying travel experience.
Our guide, Sunny, was a native of Gyeongju, but spoke fluent Mandarin. There was also another Mandarin-speaking guide named Mat (I'm not sure if I remember correctly). The whole trip was very fulfilling, and the guides' explanations were excellent. The cafes and snack shops along Hwangri-dan Road are definitely worth trying, and there are many other interesting little shops to explore.
We had lunch at a restaurant in Yangdong Village, and afterwards, we could grab a coffee next door to perk ourselves up.
Overall, Gyeongju is definitely worth visiting. If I had gone two weeks later, the scenery would probably have been even better. I'd love to come back for the winter snow and spring cherry blossoms if I had the chance.
