The best part was Luna, our guide. She was very nice and explained the formation of all the terrain in the Picos de Europa mountains and lots of interesting facts. The least enjoyable part of the route was the town of Lastres because we hadn't seen the TV series Doctor Mateo and didn't recognize any of the places. We did enjoy ending at a viewpoint where we could see both the sea and the Picos de Europa mountains.

Everything was perfect, the guide was excellent with very informative explanations. Overall, very good service. The only thing my group felt was the short time in Avilés; we would have liked to enjoy and get to know the city of Avilés a little better.

I booked this tour because it is my intention to complete the Way of St James From Oviedo to Santiago. It was a great and very useful introduction to the camino...our guide was excellent, pointing out the navigation aids, places to rest and overnight. The guide also provided invaluable insights into the different routes, the history and present day activities. The tour included lunch (extra) and transport. The hike was undemanding and you should make every effort to complete the entire 11/12 km section of the camino to get the most of the activity. The guide was excellent and good company. Several languages, including English. Small group.

The scenery in the Lakes of Covadonga is breathtaking! The Basilica de Santa Maria la Real Covadonga is imposing, with the mountain in the background. This trip is a combination of nature ,history and spirituality. Great day!


