The transport is excellent, as it takes you directly to the entrance of Mount Vesuvius. However, the walk from the regular parking lot to the entrance is long, monotonous, and boring (along the road). Subtracting the €11 entrance fee per person for Vesuvius from the total price (€39 per person), you're left with €28 per person for the bus ride. That's too much, especially with a full bus and limited space.

We were told to arrive at the meeting point at 8:10 am but the bus was at least half an hour late. The tour guide at Ercolano was excellent.
