Reviews: University of Oxford + Shakespeare's Birthplace + Cotswold Way + Warwick Castle day tour
Guest User2025-07-14
Overall was good. The trip would have been excellent, if the stay in Oxford could have been longer with shorter stay in the castle. The duration in the castle did not need to be that long, as there was not much to see after guided tour. On the other hand, there were a lot interesting building to explore.

After getting my headphones from the visitor center, I got on the bus, plugged them in, and was able to choose my language – everything went smoothly.

Shuidonggou Scenic Area is quite large, different from what I had imagined. It's actually two separate attractions: one is an archaeological excavation of the living environment of ancient humans from 3000 years ago, and the other is a hidden military cave dating back to the Ming and Qing dynasties. Both are truly impressive. There are various modes of transportation within the scenic area to facilitate visitor access. One section offers the option of horse-drawn carriage or boat; taking a horse-drawn carriage to the next location is shorter and more convenient for the elderly or those with mobility issues. The hidden military cave was a pleasant surprise. Although built in the Ming Dynasty, it's more advanced than the tunnels in the classic Chinese novel *Dungeon Fighter Online*. It must have been a military feat back then; the Ming Dynasty certainly had the money and manpower. The scenic area is definitely worth a visit.
