Make sure to set up your E-sim before crossing over to another country. I forgot to do this, and once I crossed over, I didn't have internet access and couldn't set up the e-sim (because it requires internet). I had to ask someone else for Wi-Fi to install it.
Buying a 1-day 2GB plan was sufficient because I wasn't in Malaysia for long. The internet signal was fast and smooth without any problems.★

I used this in KL, Bangkok and Shanghai. Overall the signal was ok. Sometimes we do get a drop out but it’s not often. We managed to use all social media platforms with this eSIM at Shanghai. Only thing is if you want to hail a ride you’ll need a number for it in china.★
