Five-star review for a day trip to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain! This day trip to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain was an absolute gem! Our guide, Mr. Hong, deserves a full five stars! Before departure, he clearly explained all the important details: we rented extra-thick down jackets, and one large oxygen cylinder per person was prepared in the car. He even gave us a separate reminder about altitude sickness contingency plans for the elderly and children we were traveling with, so we didn't have to worry about anything. In the morning, to help us avoid the crowds, he deliberately set off half an hour early to wait for the sunrise over the snow-capped peaks. Although the clouds were a bit thick that day and we didn't see the sun fully emerge, the guide didn't rush us. He stayed with us at the viewing platform, patiently waiting and telling us the legends of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, saying that the partially veiled mountain, like a shy maiden, had a more atmospheric feel than when it was fully revealed. While exploring Blue Moon Valley, we took many stunning photos of the valley without having to squeeze through the crowds. Before taking the cable car up to Glacier Park, he repeatedly reminded us to walk slowly and not run. In the afternoon, when we went to see "Impression Lijiang," he had already chosen good seats for us near the center, and he was even waiting for us at the exit after the show, worried we wouldn't be able to find our way back. The best part is! The entire trip was completely free of shopping stops! There were no hidden costs, the prices were incredibly reasonable, and the guide was considerate of us throughout, unlike some other guides I've encountered before who push hard on us for activities. Choosing him for your trip to Lijiang is a sure bet, and I'll definitely use him again next time I bring friends to Lijiang!

The impressions were excellent, the views were superb! A must-see. My recommendation would probably be to choose one route, either the western or eastern. If you're not fit, you'll lack the energy and likely won't have time for the other route after the western route. Another unpleasant surprise is the 140 yuan cable car ticket; walking to the wall will be difficult. The lunch buffet left me with mixed feelings, as only tea is free; everything else costs extra. You can also grab a bite at cafes and restaurants, and there's also a Burger King.

We really want to highlight the stunning views – the mountain is absolutely breathtaking, with fascinating geology all around. We were also very lucky with the weather. The tour finished earlier than expected, around 3:00 PM. In June, it wasn't actually cold on the mountain; we even took off our jackets, though the temperature was about 9.6°C. Still, we'd recommend renting oxygen canisters for an extra 20 yuan – it's better to have them just in case. Locals also suggest taking hemoglobin supplements before the ascent. Our driver contacted us in advance, picked us up a little later than planned, and came directly from the old town of Shuhe near our hotel.
