Fabulous 8 hour trip. Superb driver who was really chatty and informative. We visited one of the mountain peaks, Santana village, did a levada walk through a unesco forest, a sky walk and a rum tasting. Lucy told us a lot about the history of the island and showed us the wonderful vegetation.

Hugo picked us up at our Airbnb and was lively even at 6am. We got to the peak by car, and although the road was very foggy and with lots of curves, we felt very safe with his tranquility. He told us lots of facts about Madeira along the way and when we got to the peak, thankfully we got to see some sun, in better weather the views are amazing. We saw other viewpoints and got to see the East which we had not gone to. Overall hreat tour

The bikes were excellent & I can’t believe how easy we managed to climb the steep inclines.a good experience although a little uneasy at times for us as we’re not experienced cyclists on the steep winding roads . Overall I would highly recommend.


