My wife and I were in France for 3 days and booked this half-day tour last minute. Matt was our tour guide and he was AMAZING. Friendly, informative and helpful. If you book the tour ask for Matt.

The guide, Igor, was fantastic. Despite the bad weather, he did everything he could to keep the group informed and engaged. He continued to tell stories incessantly and provided a wealth of details. The group was also very disciplined, which made everything run very smoothly.
Reviews: Mont St Michel Full Day Tour with a National Guide from Bayeux
Guest User2025-12-05
This day tour was wonderful. Julie was super nice, upbeat and incredibly knowledgeable. We took a drive to Mont Sant Michel starting at 0800. As we rounded the corner towards the end of our drive we saw the Abbey in the distance. What a sight to behold. I got mixed emotions seeing it for the first time, and now understand why it's a UNESCO site. I was in awe of the mysterious, looming Abbey, and honestly the silhouette itself can stir emotion. Europe is our winter getaway, so we enjoyed the Abbey decorated for Christmas. I am so glad we decided to go with this tour company as we didn't have to worry about transportation AND our guide was great. We recommend this tour and will use this company again!
Reviews: Eurail France Train Pass [Official Agent/Issue Immediately/No Issuance Fee/Travel in France/No Limit on the Number of Rides]

This is a very cost-effective trip to Europe. From Paris to South France, and the travel of various towns centered in Nice and Avignon is so convenient. In addition to the high-speed rail that needs to lock the seat in advance, the others are all booked at the train station, through the official APP, With Google Maps, it is very, very convenient,

Very good tour of the key D-Day sites of Normandy. This was a 1 day excursion from the town of Bayeux that ended about 5:45 pm. The tour started at 8:45 am, when we picked up two couples from the train station area, after first being picked up at a meeting spot, Place de Quebec, near our hotel at 8:30 am. Be sure to let the tour operator know where you’re staying so they can optimize your pick-up point for either the hotel area or the train station, since some folks may just come in Paris or others towns by train for the day. The operator uses a dedicated website for messaging, once you sign up, and they are very attentive. These folks use nice min-vans which limits group size to a maximum of 8, which is so much nicer than a big bus load of folks (which we did not see) and more cost effective that a fully private tour with a car and driver for 2. There were three couples on our tour for a total of 6 guests and it worked out fine and everyone seemed to get along and the pace was right for all. Our tour guide was David and he was excellent. He was well organized, passionate about the topics and had good visual aids to accompany his explanations. As others have said there is a bit of path and beach walking, but not extensive, so be prepared with appropriate footwear and layered clothing. There is a break for lunch in town on your own, which is nice, but it wouldn’t hurt to bring a snack bar and some water. Sorry for sounding like the Progressive Insurance ad dad on the attire advice. It’s a moving visit. If not intimately familiar with D-day details, or have younger folks with out as much history, it could be good to watch the movie “The Longest Day” which aligns well with the tour sites. Saving Private Ryan also sets the stage well for a taste of what folks faced in the European theater. There is a recent Netflix series that my wife enjoyed called “All the Light you can not see”, which is set in France during the German occupation that may be good for family members who typically would not like “war movies” as a pre-curser to Normandy visit, but would benefit from a pre-tour grounding of some of the challenges faced in WW2 France.
