Reviews: Blackbeard to Banksy - The Ultimate Walking Tour of Bristol
Guest User2026-02-14
Wow! What a great tour! Luke our tour guide was excellent, very funny and with vast amounts of knowledge. The tour was around 2 hours and took us to areas we wouldn’t have discovered without Luke’s insight. Thoroughly recommend and enjoyable. £13 well spent. Hats off to you Luke!

I am an older person, I was so looking forward to seeing this iconic plane having seen it in the air so many times. It was indeed a spectacular machine and would have been more so having been a bit cleaner and a bit more shiny outside. No mean feat I grant you. The cafe was superb, toilets, museum etc were clean. The museum could have had a few more exhibits maybe. I purchased several things from the shop and as a solo visitor felt welcome and not intimidated. 🙂
Reviews: Shepton Mallet Prison Self-Guided Tour
Guest User2024-08-26
We visited Shepton Mallet Prison on a warm Bank Holiday Monday having pre booked for the guided tour which also includes an excellent guide book and the opportunity to roam freely around the whole site after the 90 min tour. Roger our ‘Prison Officer’ tour guide was excellent. Really knowledgeable, very inclusive and conscious that some of the things might upset people so warmed in advance of people wanted to opt out of various parts. The pace of the tour was perfect and there were only 12 of us so there was loads of space and time to look properly at things. Having the opportunity to go back for a quick drink in the waiting area before then exploring on our own after was just brilliant. They were in the middle of preparing to film for Young Sherlock so that was also rather fascinating (making Shepton Mallet Prison look like Newgate!)

We thoroughly enjoyed the Blackbeard to Banksy tour. Luke was our guide, he gave us really interesting information and was both knowledgeable and humorous. The walking tour is a great way to get to know the fascinating history and hidden gems of beautiful Bristol. Would definitely recommend it.
