We bought a global e-SIM with 1GB per day (enough for instant messaging and Google Maps for two users, as it shares data). Our goal is to travel across four countries. We've traveled through two countries so far, and everything works fine. Initially, we had to manually configure the e-SIM because the hotspot for data tethering wasn't working. But it turned out to be easy to configure; the instructions given upon purchase were sufficient. So far, we're very happy.★

I activated it on the plane arriving in Madrid, and was worried about the weak signal on the runway, but once we entered the airport building, it was fully operational. I had no problems at all until I finished it at the airport on my way back home. It's the cheapest price I've ever used, so it's great.
