Reviews: From Alice Springs: Day Trip to Uluru with BBQ Dinner
Guest User2025-11-16
The tour was very well organized. Both tour guides, Gary (bus driver from Alice Springs to the resort and back) and Yad – "all rightee" (bus driver from the resort until the evening barbecue) – did an outstanding job! They shared a wealth of information about the area, its history, and Aboriginal culture. The barbecue was unique, with a view of Uluru, and the food was delicious. There was plenty to eat and drink. Thank you for this experience and the safe journey home, Gary.

Mahesh was a wonderful guide. Even though others had cancelled due to the publicity about the youth troubles in Alice Springs, he did not cancel the tour. Mahesh took us to all the key sites and was full of knowledge about the locations and history. He is from Sri Lanka and you can see him in the pics. He was always ready to stop if we wished to take a photo, if it was safe, or permitted. One surprise, was a morning snack with hot tea and nibbles.

Bill was an excellent driver and guide on our journey. He made the trip go, what seemed faster than the actual time taken. Great knowledge too!

The cultural history of Uluru and the geological makeup of this massive natural phenomenon was so interesting. Our guide, Yad, was very nice and informative! Our bus driver, Charlie, was kind and interesting. It was a wonderful, worthwhile day!
