Reviews: UNESCO Archaeological Heritage Of The Lenggong Valley from Ipoh

It is not easy to find a guided tour of the Lenggong Valley. The tour organised by Ipoh Secrets Tours with guides John (for the day) and Faiz (for the caves) was just what we needed. From Ipoh we travelled comfortably by car to the Lenggong Valley where we visited several caves where archaeological excavations have been carried out (including Gua Teluk Kelawar, Gua Ngaum and Gua Asar). As announced, we walked from one cave to the next; good shoes were essential, as the path was in the forest and the ground can be slippery in the caves. On the way back, we visited the Lenggong Archaeological Museum before enjoying a delicious laksa telur sarang in a typical restaurant. The tour also included a very interesting stopover in the royal city of Kuala Kangsar, where we visited the royal mosque and the magnificent "temporary" palace (Muzium Diraja Kuala Kangsar). Our guides were both very knowledgeable and we thank them once again for this wonderful day of discovery.Trip.com Picks
