First of all, a huge thank you to the tour company for not canceling the trip even though I was the only participant. A very professional guide who did a great job of introducing me to the city and showing me around the most important sites.

Great day trip in the Douro from Porto. We were a small group of 8 in a van. Our guide, Phillip was generous in information and tips. We visited two small family wineries, who took plenty of time to give us a tour and provided plenty of explanations. The local expert André at the first and the owner of the second, Elizabeth, were very passionnate about their craft. We did a short cruise on the Douro and admired the views while two young guides explained to us their life in Portugal. We had a homemade meal of excellent local delicacies at the first winery. Much more local and personalized than a tour at the big wineries with a big bus…
