What a fun time. Right from the start Claudia had us laughing and feeling comfortable. And if we weren't hungry and ready to cook when we arrived, the market tour definitely got us there. We tasted some local delicacies and then got to cooking. I would encourage anyone visiting to try this class as it's a great way to eat up the local culture. And thanks to Claudia for making it a fun way to do it.

Despite a bit of confusion in meeting our guide and connecting with the correct group at the meeting place, the evening turned out much better than expected. The live flamenco show was outstanding, and the tapas prepared by the travelers nest was delicious.

The guide was very informative and answered questions with much enthusiasm. The only criticism I would have is that we were rushed from our dinner to the Flamenco show, we barely finished our drinks and food. The Flamenco show was great but since this was my second time to see a show, I was hoping more props would be used. However, the dancers were very passionate in their performances.

Alberto was one of the best guides we have ever had for a tour in our travels. We’ve traveled to many countries over the last five years, and Alberto is definitely one of the best! He’s funny, engaging, knowledgeable, and personable. I would recommend him personally if we did this tour or had friends doing this tour in Barcelona. The tour is unique enough that it doesn’t feel like a normal, 3 to 4 stop quick bites food tour at restaurants, but you don’t find tours like this in many places where you’re going to markets, and learning about the culture, while being able to purchase things as well. The price is really decent for this type of tour as well.


