For me I was given too much detailed history of the country before we even walked anywhere. It was a lot to process all in one go. The tour got more interesting as we visited parts of the city. It was a shame that we were taken to eg. St Paul’s cathedral and couldn’t get inside due to the 6pm mass. Timing of tour should be better. Or leave it out. Listening to the tour guides own mother’s experience of how being ruled under communism affected her daily life was fascinating. I much prefer to hear this type of information as I probably wouldn’t find this on the internet or in a book.

Paola was an awesome guide who spoke several languages and was extremely knowledgeable about Albanian history. The tour was well organized, impactful and a phenomenal value. I would recommend this tour to anyone who would like an authentic experience and enjoys learning about new cultures.

Wonderful experience with our tour guide Bledi Nuzi who made sure we had a great time on the trip through Shkoder and Shala river while guiding us through the historical knowledge, society and people of this wonderful place.
