It was a great day, a perfect experience. The driver was punctual, the itinerary was well-planned, and everyone was on time. Mount Fuji is truly beautiful. The drive from Tokyo took only 1 hour and 40 minutes without traffic. We could see the silhouette of Mount Fuji shortly after leaving Tokyo – it was so beautiful, and the weather was perfect!
I highly recommend Lake Yamanaka. The swans are absolutely gorgeous. I suggest going early in the morning so that Mount Fuji isn't backlit in photos. The swan viewing area is fenced off, and you need to pay for swan food. If several people share, you can pay for one portion, which is very cheap and produces stunning photos!
Arakurayama Sengen Park requires a hike, but thankfully there's a gentle slope leading up to the summit in about 20 minutes. The scenery is beautiful.
The Nikkawa Clock Shop offers a classic photo spot where you can see the massive Mount Fuji appear at the end of the street – truly spectacular.★

Winter days are short and the day gets dark early, so the itinerary was quite rushed. We arrived in Hakone in the morning and didn't get to visit the art museum. We rushed to Lake Yamanaka around 3 PM to take photos of Mount Fuji with its backlighting. The driver was a Chinese woman who had lived in Japan for over 20 years. She drove steadily and chatted with us the whole way, which was very nice. It was a small group of 9 people, but that day it was just our family of 4, which was great. 👍★

Upon arriving in Japan, I hastily decided to join a small tour group on Wednesday. I wanted to visit both an outlet mall and Mount Fuji, and after much deliberation, I chose this tour. The meeting point was the Washington Hotel, not far from my accommodation in Shinjuku. The driver was incredibly friendly and patiently explained the sights we encountered along the way. The outlet mall was huge; two hours might not have been enough. However, you can't have your cake and eat it too, so I couldn't skip Mount Fuji. The view of Mount Fuji from the outlet mall was absolutely perfect. In the afternoon, we also visited the Golden Torii Gate, Lake Yamanaka, and Lake Kawaguchi. We fed the geese, bought some limited-edition Mount Fuji items, and even visited a Lawson convenience store. The whole trip was surprisingly relaxing, making it especially suitable for families with elderly members.★

I was really excited to go up to the fifth station of Mount Fuji this time, because at the foot of the mountain, I went in early November and it was already very cold almost zero degrees. It looks more spectacular above, the sea of clouds is also beautiful, there are many shops around to browse, souvenirs, food and buy, there are also horse riding activities above, but because of time I did not try, the leader arrangement is also good, but because time is tight, so if you can stay a little longer. The itinerary has three o'clock, 5th station, hidden things Hakkai and Gotemba outlet, in fact, the trip if extended a little to 7 to 8 pm disbandment, so it would be better, the tour fee charged a little more do not mind in fact, each place can be a little longer!
