The last time I went to Jiufen, I took an evening bus tour and, as expected, saw the fantastic scenery of red lanterns. However, it was incredibly crowded in the rain, and even climbing the steep stairs was frightening. This time, I joined a tour in the morning to enjoy the daytime scenery from the mountains when it was less crowded. It turned out to be a great decision! I was able to enjoy the wonderful scenery and atmosphere under a clear blue sky.★
