Reviews: Up at The O2: Daytime Climb with Guided Tour with Panoramic Views

We were going to Mamma Mia the Party so thought why not climb the O2 beforehand? What an amazing experience. We were in a group 7 on a coldish day in April and climbed at 4pm. The safety briefing set the scene, the walkway is also canvas, can be bouncy but it’s not a trampoline! Once we had our warm coats, gloves and harness, we locked our valuables away and off we go. The climb can be hard going and it’s much higher than you imagine but we were able to climb at our pace so it was all done in a fun, comfortable way. There is no barrier at the side, you are hitched to a metal banister in the middle with a rope above to hold onto. It sounds worse than it was. The harness has a G shaped hook which you use to climb but every now and then there are “stops” which you have to turn the hook to get passed. This sets the pace and keeps the climbers a comfortable space apart. We soon reached the summit and I can honestly say, I didn’t feel exhausted or like I’d climbed 52 metres via a canvas walkway on top of a huge canvas tent! The climb is worth it, 52 metres up and 360 degree views of London. We paid extra for a Prosecco to celebrate (which was served in a plastic glass). Our fabulous guide pointed landmarks out and gave us a rundown of the O2 - how everything is connected to dates, there are 12 yellow masts and the diameter of the canvas is 365 meters, the climb is 52 meters high etc. We had a great time at the top, it had a fun, relaxed vibe, after 20 minutes we were ready for the climb back to earth. This is done on the opposite side, going backwards, I felt gravity pushed me back quicker than I climbed up. We finished at the gift shop, there was all the usual stuff. We purchased some photos before we danced the night away at Mamma Mia the Party which is right next door to the gift shop . I would highly recommend this activity, it was fun and a great experience I’ll never forget as well as good value for money.

We loved it. We went in the blue light members day and the queues were drastically reduced. I was a little shocked at the prices of things, I’d expected higher than normal but £63 for what I would have purchased from McDonald’s normally for £20 was a bit extreme and £6 for a coffee, alledgedly Costa but the service was so slow and the drink much smaller (despite paying 50p extra for large upgrade, was unwelcome! The park though was very clean, very well thought out. We tried everything that was open and the sealife centre was a lovely extra too. We would definitely go again, but I wouldn’t pay the full ticket price and then have to go there and pay the restaurant prices to eat. (£18 for a refill cup of soft drinks too!) You could take your own food though.
Reviews: Half-Day Tour to Stonehenge from London [Morning/Afternoon Options & Solo Traveler Friendly & Comfortable Coach]

Getting to Stonehenge is a bit inconvenient, especially for those with elderly or young children. After arriving by bus, we were even more glad that we joined a tour group to go directly to the site. It would have been too cold to go in winter, and it would have been too tiring to push the stroller while waiting. We were wondering if such a long bus ride would be worth it, but thankfully we were able to visit in the end. The tour was definitely worth it!

Thank you for the tour guide of Golden Tours , our family of three missed the tour bus from Stonehenge to the Roman bathing beach. Fortunately, the fat guy tour guide of another group Golden Tours gave us his tour bus, continued the trip, and constantly comforted us. If you can't find the original team, you can return to central London with his tour bus, don't worry. When I arrived at Stonehenge, I met a Korean group friend with the same group. I learned the time and place of the next meeting, and arrived early to catch up with my team. I am really grateful to the staff of Golden Tours for helping us who were very helpless at the time.
