I joined a local travel agency on an all-English international tour, traveling on a bus with friends from all over the world. The tour guide was witty and humorous, and I could understand most of his English. He was also very attentive, taking care of each group of guests. We encountered two downpours along the way, and I was worried about bad weather. However, when we arrived at the Cliffs of Moher, we were greeted by a breathtaking view of the azure sky and the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. Galway is a small town; we could explore the churches and neighborhoods, and even sample fresh oysters. We were given ample two hours to fully explore each location. A truly wonderful experience!

We met up with Brian Nolan our guide near the Spanish Arch for our private tour. He proceeded to take us to the Galway City Museum keeping us amused there and managed to keep us together up Quay and High Street, no small feat pointing out several features and regaling us in folklore and history. Time well spent that made us appreciate this part of Ireland.

Walking through the charming streets of the city while learning about its rich and fascinating history was such a treat. What made the experience truly exceptional was our guide, Neil. He was simply fabulous—engaging, incredibly knowledgeable, and had a great sense of humour that kept everyone entertained. You could tell he was passionate about Galway’s past, and he brought the stories of the city to life in a way that was both informative and fun. Alan, our tour guide and bus driver, was PHENOMENAL. We deeply appreciated his insights, knowledge, and of course, his craic! What an absolutely wonderful way to spend the day. I appreciated how chill this tour was after a hectic week of running all around trying to see Ireland. Alan made the trip so enjoyable and relaxing, I simply cant say enough good things about him, he was truly a star. Also, might I add, he had the PERFECT mixtape playing for the whole ride. "Castle on the hill" by Ed Sheeran playing as we literally drove up to a castle on a hill? in America, we'd simply call this "iconic" Thank you SO MUCH for all the incredible memories you've helped us build. Truly a gem of a trip.


