Hailing Island, formerly known as Luozhou, is located in the northern waters of the South China Sea, southwest of Jiangcheng District, Yangjiang City, 20 kilometers from downtown. It is 23 kilometers long and 10 kilometers wide. Hailing Island has a total land area of 108.9 square kilometers, making it the largest island in Yangjiang City. Hailing Island boasts over ten scenic coastal tourist attractions, including the Taifu Temple, Linggu Temple, the Ancient Fort, the Zhenhai Pavilion, and the Guanyin Pavilion. In January 2001, Dajiao Bay on Hailing Island was designated a National 4A Scenic Area by the National Tourism Administration, becoming the only national-level coastal tourist area in Guangdong Province. As Guangdong's fourth-largest island, Hailing Island's tertiary industry is primarily based on tourism, making it one of the earliest areas in Guangdong to develop coastal tourism. After more than two decades of development and construction, the island has seen rapid economic and social growth, earning it numerous national honors, including National Blue Tourism Demonstration Base, China's Top Ten Treasure Islands, China's Top Ten Beautiful Islands, National Marine Park, National Mangrove Wetland Park, National Central Fishing Port, and National Underwater Archaeology Base. In 2016, it was included in the State Council's 13th Five-Year Plan for the Development of Island Tourism Destination. In 2020, it was designated as one of the third batch of Guangdong Province's All-Area Tourism Demonstration Zones. In June 2023, Hailing Island was selected for inclusion in the national list of "Harmonious Islands."

This is a treasure trove of a museum; I thoroughly enjoyed the guided tour. I went during the May Day holiday, and it wasn't too crowded. I imagine it would be better to go on a weekday when it's less crowded, and it's also a great place to bring kids. Behind the museum is the beach, which is quite unique.

🌊 Play in Hailing Island • Shili Silver Beach: The coastline is super long, and the sand is so soft that it feels like walking on cotton! Watching the sunrise is amazing, and you can also play paragliding and parasailing, which is exciting to scream🤩 There is also a Maritime Silk Road Museum nearby, so you can learn more along the way~ • Dajiao Bay: A veteran player in the 5A scenic spot! There are a lot of water parks and beach bathing beaches. At night, there are fireworks on the beach + sea breeze, which is so romantic that you want to propose to the sea💍 • Mawei Island: Free sunset paradise! Go to see the sunset in the evening and dye the sea surface golden. The fishing boats returning to the port look like a movie scene. Wear a white dress to take pictures and you will be enshrined in the gods📸 • Washa Bay: A treasure trove of sea catching! Bring a bucket and shovel to dig shells and crabs. Parent-child/couple interaction is perfect. Remember to wear slippers and don't go barefoot🦀 🍤 Eating in Hailing Island • Steamed fish is so tender that it makes you cry. Fried shrimp with green onion and ginger, lobster and abalone soup are so delicious that they make your eyebrows drop. It costs only 100 yuan per person to eat until you lean on the wall. The cost-effectiveness is crazy💥 🚗 Traveling in Hailing Island • Take the high-speed rail to Yangjiang Station, take a taxi/tour bus to the island (don't take a black car!) • Riding a small electric donkey on the island to blow the sea breeze is super cool, or driving yourself is more free, stop whenever you want to see the scenery~ 🏨 Living in Hailing Island • If you want to lie down and watch the sea view, choose Shili Silver Beach Apartment, which is cost-effective and quiet, and some of them can cook • If you pursue convenience, live near Dajiao Bay, the beach is downstairs, and the nightlife is lively • If you have enough budget, go to Beiluo Secret Realm, cliff swimming pool + first-line sea view, and you have Versailles materials in your circle of friends✨ ⚠️ Tips to avoid pitfalls • Compare prices at seafood markets, ask for prices before eating, and don’t be misled by “enthusiastic drivers” • Wear sunscreen! Ultraviolet rays on islands can turn people into charcoal🖤 • Don’t expect too much when going to the beach, just experience it, don’t be emo if you can’t find it~ Don’t lie around on weekends! Go to Hailing Island to walk on the sand and waves, eat seafood so fresh that it makes your eyes drop, and turn your ordinary days into an island movie🎬 @ your dinner partner/travel partner, and get out now💨

Dajiaowan Beach, a five-star scenic area on Hailing Island, one of China's top ten most beautiful beaches, is much less crowded than the free side of Hailing Island due to its admission fee, resulting in a better experience. After swimming, you can rinse off, and the beach has many shells to collect. However, the park is still under renovation, so you have to backtrack to exit from the main entrance.

The "catch and eat" mode of the Fishing Cage Restaurant is a unique one. The flower crabs just caught from the cage are steamed, and the fresh and sweet taste is endless. Compared with popular attractions, this place retains the tranquility of the original Tanka fishing village. Sitting on the reef in the evening, watching the rough hands of fishermen mending fishing nets and the sunset in the sky are the true meaning of slow life on the island. It is free and open but there are few tourists. It is the first choice for a secret place to avoid the crowds!

As the new top resort in Hailing Island, Beiluo Secret Realm redefines island luxury with the ultimate landscape of "cliff swimming pool + seaside plank road". The ins style design runs through the whole resort: the high-altitude infinity pool and private beach form a celebrity photography matrix, and the cliff bar at night makes the atmosphere more lively. The resort focuses on the "all-inclusive" concept. The basic room rate includes two breakfasts + attraction passes (worth 198 yuan), but additional items such as cliff swings (30 yuan/time) still need to be paid for. It is suitable for young customers who pursue a sense of ritual. Family tourists may prefer the fireworks of Dajiao Bay. Short review: A "high-value harvester" born for the circle of friends, a krypton gold choice for romanticists

It was an absolutely fantastic experience! I was incredibly excited the whole time and wasn't scared at all. I was worried about safety beforehand, but after learning more, I realized that skydiving is actually extremely safe. The instructors were very kind and professional. It was a truly perfect and meaningful experience.
