Special tutorial (making nasal inhaler with Thai herbs):
Nasal inhalers are a common household medication used to relieve symptoms such as nasal congestion, dizziness, and lightheadedness. Many brands of nasal inhalers are available on the market today.
There are currently two types of nasal inhalers readily available in the market.
One type is purely synthetic, with raw materials including camphor, menthol, patchouli, and eucalyptus oil.
Another type is an herbal nasal inhaler, but essential oils or various herbs are added to it to produce different aromas.
Imagine if we could make them ourselves at home, that would be even better. In fact, the process of making herbal inhalers is not complicated, and the materials for the inhalers can be purchased from chemical supply stores and general herbal stores.
At the workshop (making Thai herbal inhalers)
Herbal nose packs are made with various ingredients, and you can choose the one that best suits your needs.
1. aromatic dried herbs, such as star anise, orange peel, cinnamon, coriander, lemon peel, cloves, cardamom, asterisk, and black pepper.
Aromatic substances include camphor, menthol, patchouli, and eucalyptus oil.
3 bottles containing nasal decongestant herbs
You can also follow our method. Here is our own recipe for your reference.
1. Measure out 1/2 tsp of camphor and patchouli, and 1/2 tsp of menthol. Add them to the packaging and stir until they dissolve. Add 3 ml of eucalyptus oil and mix thoroughly. Cover with a lid.
Take 1 cardamom pod, 5 cloves, 1 cinnamon stick, 1 teaspoon coriander, 1 teaspoon black pepper, and 1 star anise, place them in a mixing bowl, and stir well.
3. Scoop out the herbs from packet 2 and place them in the pouch. Then add the solution from packet 1, cover with the lid, and enjoy the fragrance. Alternatively, if you prefer a stronger herbal aroma, seal the pouch for 5–7 days.
Remember to take a sip after completing your creation at our workshop before taking it away—it will refresh and invigorate you!
