Reviews: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City & Treasure Museum Small Group Tour
Guest User2026-01-25
Mary reached out the day before via WhatsApp and answered my logistic questions. Overall I’m very happy I joined her tour. She is patient, upbeat, and explained well without being overwhelming. Perhaps I’m out of shape, but this ~5 hours walking tour was intense during the last hour or so. Be sure to wear comfiest shoes and bundled up! Also I’m glad Mary’s notes did mention bringing drinks and snacks with you. The snack shops inside the Forbidden City were too long to wait.
Reviews: Half-Day Tour of the Beijing Forbidden City [Including Tickets and Free Treasure Hall Ticket] Multiple Group Types / Chinese/English Guided Tour
Guest User2026-01-03
Our tour guide, Li Xue, was very professional and polite. Her explanations were engaging and clear, and she could describe the architecture of the Forbidden City, down to every brick and tile, in great detail, sharing many interesting stories. She also interacted with the group members during her explanations. Our family was very satisfied. I highly recommend hiring a guided tour when visiting the Forbidden City.

Reviews: Full-Day Mutianyu Great Wall Bus Tour with 5 Hours at the Site (ENG/ESP/RUS Guided Bus)
Guest User2026-02-06
Highly recommended! The tour includes information about the wall, an entrance ticket, and roundtrip transportation from Dongzhimen Station. Please note! A guide will not accompany you to the wall (they are not necessary). You must purchase cable car/sled tickets separately, or you can buy them from the guide on the bus (they are the same price). There are two routes to choose from: the red route from the 14th to the 20th towers - the most beautiful views, an uphill climb, and a roundtrip indoor funicular ride (140 yuan); the green route from the 6th to the 1st towers - the views are also beautiful, but not as breathtaking, an open funicular ride, and a sled/funnel ride (140 yuan). You can also combine them! I personally chose to only take the red route on the closed funicular and walk from the 14th to the 19th tower (I didn't have enough strength to go any further), then the return route from the 19th to the 6th tower and a sled ride! It cost 200 yuan. The whole journey took me 3.5 hours. I want to express my deepest gratitude to the guide, Maxim; he explained everything in detail, gave advice, and answered the group's questions. Thank you for the trip and the great atmosphere!
Reviews: Beijing Prince Kung's Palace Museum Half-Day Tour - Includes Admission Ticket for 10-Person Group/20-Person Group/Independent Traveler Group/Multiple Group Types
Guest User2026-02-08
Our guide, Ms. Zhu, explained things in a clear and concise way, skillfully weaving architectural anecdotes with historical details. Standing before the "Number One Blessing Under Heaven," she highlighted the Chinese people's spiritual pursuits, while the Western-style gate revealed the clash of eras. After the tour, half of the Qing Dynasty's history was understood. Throughout the trip, she frequently interacted with the children, igniting their passion for historical exploration. It was a truly wonderful travel experience.

A Russian-speaking guide and a family tour were advertised, but even adults find it difficult to listen to such Russian. The guide tried her best, but it was difficult. Some of the promised gifts and guidance were completely absent, but oh well.
