I traveled using a Eurail pass. It was cheaper than other sites, including points redemption, so I used it. I recommend it if you travel long distances a lot. I'll definitely consider it for my next trip to Europe.

We really enjoyed the boat trip. Lots of interesting things to see . However , we did find it difficult as non German speakers to understand everything that was seen . It was obvious that the German tour guide was being well received and entertaining , so we did feel quite left out . We were not offered audio guides .

A super nice bus driver, and then a "live" guide on board who gave us a very competent introduction to Hamburg. We first took the entire bus ride and then rode again to get off at the sightseeing spots. All in all, a fantastic opportunity to get to know a city. Many thanks to these two super nice Hamburg guys...
