Booking the Swiss Travel Pass on Ctrip was very convenient and even offered discounts. After booking, I printed out the QR code and carried it with me, and also downloaded a backup app on my phone. This made it very easy to have the ticket inspector scan the QR code when I encountered a ticket check. The pass was a bit pricey when I bought it, but the benefits were incredible. It allows unlimited travel on trains, buses, subways, boats, and cable cars (some offer discounts), and free admission to museums, making my trip to Switzerland incredibly convenient.
I encountered ticket checks on trains, buses, and boats, so don't take chances; always buy a ticket.★

Excellent! I caught the 618 shopping festival, and the price for two adults and one child was 1000 yuan cheaper than on Taobao. Booking tickets through the app was also very convenient. I chose a 7-day pass. Having traveled to several countries, I found that there are three main types of train travel in Europe: some trains require seat reservations and charge extra; some trains don't allow seat reservations, and you just sit where there are empty seats; and some trains allow seat reservations, but you can also choose not to. In practice, I found that most people don't reserve seats, as there are usually empty seats available, so you don't need to pay extra for seat reservations.★
