[Pass validity period]
Activation date: refers to the first usage date selected when the pass is bound to the APP.
1. Before the pass is bound to the APP and activated:
This pass is valid for activation within 11 months from the date of issue (purchase) (except for promotional products stated otherwise) and will become invalid upon expiration.
For example, if the pass is purchased on January 1st, before it is activated, the pass is valid for 11 months starting from January 1st and can be activated on any day within 11 months.
2. After the pass is activated by binding the APP:
[Continuous type]
The validity period of the pass starts from the first travel date selected when the pass is bound to the APP, and it must be used for N consecutive days.
For example, if you purchased a continuous 15-day package on January 1st, and you chose to start using it on February 1st when binding the APP, the validity period will be calculated from February 1st selected during activation and will expire on February 15th.
[Flexible type]
Starting from the first travel date selected when binding the pass to the APP, you can use it on any N days within X months based on the validity period and number of days of the purchased pass.
For example, if you purchase a flexible package that allows you to use the app on any 4 days within a month, and you choose to start using the app on February 1st, the package will be valid for one month starting from February 1st, and you can choose any 4 days to use the package.

[How to activate & deactivate Eurail Pass]
(1) Please download the Eurail/Interrail Rail Planner App and activate your pass within 11 months of purchase. The activation date of your pass is the start date you select when activating your pass using the Rail Planner App, and your pass is valid from that date.
(2)Activation steps:
- Step 1: Enter your last name and the pass number sent by Trip.com to add a new pass
- Step 2: Create a new trip or select a trip already created in the app and link the trip to your pass
- Step 3: Enter your passport/ID number and select your first travel date to activate your pass. Please note that you cannot take the train without activating your pass and your pass must be activated online.
- Please note that you do not need to activate a pass to reserve a seat
- Please set your phone's calendar to the Western calendar to activate your pass using the Rail Planner App

(3)How to deactivate:
Please deactivate your pass before 00:00 CET on your chosen activation date. Use the Rail Planner App, go to "My Pass", tap the three dots in the top right, and then tap "Deactivate Pass". You can reactivate your pass or cancel your order for a full refund if you wish to adjust your itinerary.
***If you are not sure about your trip, please do not activate it, or cancel the activation in time before activating the selected travel date!!

[How to use the pass]
Once you've activated your Eurail ePass, just follow these simple steps to start traveling
Step 1: Plan your trip and search for departure times using the Eurail/Interrail Rail Planner App
Step 2: Click Save trip
Step 3: When you are ready to go, add your trip to your pass
Step 4: Go to "My Pass" and click "Show ticket" to show your e-pass. Please note that each travel day of the pass has a different ticket, and each ticket will show all the trips added to that travel day. If the route also requires seat reservations, you must also show proof of reservation.
- Flexible Passes apply: If the travel date is not a travel day, you must use the travel days. Please go to "My Trip" and "My Pass" to view the remaining travel days and an overview of all travel days.

[How to confirm whether seat reservation is required]
Please download the Eurail/Interrail Rail Planner App and search for the desired route, as shown in the route:
"No reservation needed" means that no seat reservation fee is required, the route is saved directly in the APP, and you can show it when you need to ride.
"Seat reservations required" means seat reservations are required
"Not in Pass network" means it is not included in the pass
