Reviews: Datong 1-day tour private charter combo: Heng Shan Mountain + Xuankong Temple + Wooden Pagoda [exclusive door-to-door transfer]

Managed to get to a lot of places today thanks to Mr. Zhang Gui's service. Hit up Hengshan Mountains to see the Xuankong temple, then made it to Yingxian to see the Wooden Pagoda and (arguably my favorite part) the city itself which has a bunch of delicious food along its shopping street. Afterwards we went to Yungang grottoes which were just magnificent. Hard to explain in words but it truly is a spectacle to behold as you walk from one grotto to the next you're thinking there can't be a more amazing statue, but then an even more impressive one appears, and then another. Ended the day at Datong Ancient City where I stopped through the streets looking for good stalls to eat from and took pictures of the mosque and church. I would recommend anyone interested in these places to bring a second phone or large battery pack since it's a very long day of picture-taking. (Ps. For Yungang Grotto if you see a large line-up you should consider moving to the next grotto install of waiting).
