Itinerary
Stop at: Sham Shui Po
Details: Sham Shui Po is a district of simple pleasures. It is the least affluent district in Hong Kong and offers a lot of cheap but cheerful experiences that can’t be found anywhere else in the city. Don’t come here for a fancy gourmet meal. Instead, come here if you want to try Michelin-recommended noodles and snacks that won't make a dent in your pocket. Here your local guide will take you on a street food tour to discover the best local eats and introduce you to the local culture and living environment. We cover between 4 and 6 food stops on every tour. Tour itineraries and stops might differ depending on several factors such as your interests, the walking pace, and weather, etc. We try to include two Michelin-rated Bib Gourmand eats on ever tour.
Duration: 1 hour(s)
Admission Ticket Included

Stop at: Mongkok
Details: Mong Kok is Hong Kong’s most congested shopping and residential district, but don’t let that scare you away. The neon-bathed streets that wind through one of the densest parts of the world are every amateur photographers dream. Here you will explore the bustling streets of Mong Kok, taking in the famous Goldfish Market, electronics streets and Ladies Market. We will explain what is going on inside the masses of high rise buildings surrounding the markets. Prostitution, illegal gambling and subdivided living is all rife in the Mong Kok district. Hong Kong is one of the safest cities in the world so there is no need to worry, there is nothing dangerous about our exploration, indeed it is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Hong Kong; you’re just getting the inside scoop on what lies beneath the surface! Tour itinerary and stops might differ depending on several factors such as your interests, the walking pace, and weather, etc.
Duration: 30 min(s)

Stop at: Nathan Road
Details: Nathan Road is the main thoroughfare in Kowloon, often referred to as the ‘The Golden Mile’. It runs from Victoria Harbour and Tsim Sha Tsui (TST) in the South to Prince Edward and Sham Shui Po in the North. This bustling 3.6km strip is lined with mega malls, shops, cafes and restaurants and throngs of tourists and we pass though it several times during the tour. Tour itinerary and stops might differ depending on several factors such as your interests, the walking pace, and weather, etc.
Duration: 10 min(s)

Stop at: Ladies Market
Details: With over 100 stalls of bargain clothing, accessories and souvenirs, the Ladies’ Market on Tung Choi Street provides a one-kilometre stretch on which to practise your haggling skills. It gets its name from the huge amount of clothing and accessories on sale for women of all ages; however, with watches, cosmetics, bags, home furnishings, CDs and trinkets also up for grabs. Tour itinerary and stops might differ depending on several factors such as your interests, the walking pace, and weather, etc. Please note that we do not have time for shopping during the tour.
Duration: 10 min(s)

Stop at: Goldfish Street (Tung Choi Street)
Details: Tung Choi Street North – better known as the Goldfish Market – is lined on either side with shops devoted to the raising of many types of fish, from weirdly shaped goldfish to colourful tropical species with gaspingly high price tags. Feng shui subscribers regard an aquarium of goldfish to be more than just a pretty face: it’s also an auspicious addition to one’s home that can bring good luck, so it’s no surprise that this popular pet trade is even more prominent in Hong Kong. Tour itinerary and stops might differ depending on several factors such as your interests, the walking pace, and weather, etc.
Duration: 5 min(s)

Stop at: Chung King Mansion
Details: Chung King Mansions launched as a beacon of prosperity in the jet-set era Hong Kong. The building’s fame slid into notoriety soon after, and it has lived for 55 years in the spotlight. Many Hong Kong people avoid it, given its reputed sleazy underbelly. A social scientist wrote a book about the building after conducting a 3-year study on it and the thousands of people that pass through it every day. We will talk about the building and its fascinating story. Tour itinerary and stops might differ depending on several factors such as your interests, the walking pace, and weather, etc.
Duration: 10 min(s)

Stop at: 1881 Heritage
Details: A visit to 1881 Heritage will transport you to Victorian-era Hong Kong. From the 1880s to 1996, this was the headquarters of the Hong Kong Marine Police. Several buildings and artefacts of historical interest have been preserved and restored, and the site now features a shopping mall, a heritage hotel and an exhibition hall. Tour itinerary and stops might differ depending on several factors such as your interests, the walking pace, and weather, etc.
Pass by without stopping

Stop at: The Peninsula Arcade
Details: The Peninsula Hong Kong — or ‘The Pen’ as it is known locally — is a Hong Kong landmark. A witness to the city’s eventful history, the hotel has been serving guests in style since 1928. This beautiful art deco building holds its own dark story which will be discussed. Tour itinerary and stops might differ depending on several factors such as your interests, the walking pace, and weather, etc.
Duration: 10 min(s)

Stop at: Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade
Details: Our tour ends at the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront which offers exceptional views of the Hong Kong skyline. Here we relax and discuss the history and development of the Hong Kong skyline from the early 1800s to the present day. Depending on the time of our tour you may be able to watch the Hong Kong light show which runs every day at 8pm.
