Reviews: Barcelona: Montserrat Tour, Transfers & Basilica Entry

Marc was a very nice guide overall throughout the tour. I would say his best ability was to guide us rather than force us, he gave us plenty of free roam throughout which really helped with the tour not being too heavy overall.

Miro was an amazing guide and was very informative of the sights and pointing out things along the ride. The history and photos he showed us during the tour were also great.

The all day trip was worth it. "Nu" was extremely pleasant and informative guide. The bus was very comfortable. Her tour of the small Catalunya town was very informative. We had a cappuccino w/ a shot of rum/whiskey there for 4Euros each (at 830 am, LOL). At one point she left anyone that was in line for the bathroom to lead the tour around the small French town, which was disappointing to be left behind. Andorra is basically a big shopping mall in a deep valley of the Pyrenes, but still interesting to visit 'another country'. FYI: The Euro buses don't have bathrooms.

Thr tour starts with Montserrat Monastery. A peaceful, cooling place to see the black madonna. Recommend to do a short hike to the crucifix at the mountain. After Montserrat, we proceed to lunch and wine tasting. The wine tasting was done in a very informal and humourous way! Our guide, Judit, was excellent, knowledgeable, and humourous! Thank you Judit! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Reviews: From Barcelona: Girona, Besalú & Medieval Villages Day Trip
Guest User2026-10-14
We enjoyed all 3 villages,. Our guide, Liam, is great. Extremely w knowledgeable in history and articulates the information so that context is easily relevant and easy to relate to the history of the times (medieval). Also, he is engaging with each traveler in the group.
