Reviews: From Lisbon: Day Trip to Porto, Óbidos, and Nazaré

I booked the Three Cities, Porto, Nazare, and Obidos from Lisbon tour. Our guide was Francisco Maia, and he was awesome! He was very detailed in his insight that he gave us on the way to our stops. He was also very patient and well organized. The bus was large and very comfortable. If you have the chance, book this tour! It gives you a broader sense of Portugal beyond Lisbon. I hope you will get Francisco as your guide. He is a well-versed guide who studied history and anthropology and offers great insight into Portugal's history and development. In addition, he is very generous with recommendations for both Porto (restaurants to eat) and additional things to do or see in Lisbon/Portugal. Walked away with a list of great places to check out. We had three stops on this tour. The stop in Obidos was great. Timing was good for stretching your legs and seeing a medieval village with a history of the Knights Templar. You can climb stairs and look over the Templar walls. Grab a coffee and a c

We had an incredible time on the boat trip, with stunning sunset views that made the evening truly special. The atmosphere was intimate, with few people on board, so it felt like a personalised experience. The crew was very friendly, offering small snacks and a glass of wine to enjoy. You could also buy Vinho Verde on the boat or bring along your snacks and alcohol if you wanted. Just keep in mind that the departure point is about 35 minutes away from the city centre, so plan your transport accordingly.

It was a very enjoyable and informative tour. Our guide, Chico, was very communicative and explained everything clearly. The combination of history, insider information, viewpoints, cable car, and boat trip was fantastic.

We had a most memorable day trip to the Duoro river valley yesterday. Our tour guide Nuno spoke perfect English. He was very informative and professional as we navigated the many Quinta and viewpoints throughout the excursion. Nuno’s passion for all things Porto shines through. He was highly entertaining and engaging, the perfect pairing to my comedic personna. Oh what a treat it was: multiple quinta stops, a personal guide through the Pinhao train station, an unexpected stop to see a boat navigate the lock in one of the river dams, an EV boat ride along the Duoro river (so quiet!) and lunch at a family owned restaurant to name a few. Your money goes far with this company. I highly recommend Nuno. Obrigado for a fun, relaxing day!
