First night in Kinmen, a very special place

Kinmen and Xiamen are right next to each other. It only takes half an hour to get to Kinmen by boat from Xiamen. Xiamen residents can travel to Kinmen, Matsu and Penghu freely. Jiangong Island was originally called Leprosy Reef, because leprosy patients at that time were concentrated on this small island to fend for themselves. Jiangong Island is only about 500 meters away from Kinmen Island. You can walk to the island when the sea water recedes, but it is flooded by sea water all around when the tide is high. Therefore, the most important thing to climb Jiangong Island is to understand the tide time. When the sea water is high tide, you can only look at it from the observation deck. This small island is not large in area and has now become a popular check-in place for free travelers. But you must calculate the time to get to the island. The sea view around is also very beautiful. Opposite Jiangong Island is the Yanping County Prince Temple in memory of Zheng Chenggong, who was stationed in Kinmen and left many historical relics on the island. The Yanping County Prince Temple has a wide view and was where Zheng Chenggong watched the troops at sea. The viewing platform in front of the Yanping County Prince Temple offers a panoramic view of Jiangong Island and Little Kinmen in the distance. It is the best viewing spot to enjoy the beauty of the Kinmen waters.
