The ancient canal meandered along, and our guide, Xiao Xu, gave a lively and engaging explanation. The oil-paper umbrella experience was also excellent; the children loved it. Qiaoxi Straight Street was charming and quaint, making for a wonderful overall experience.★

Our driver, Mr. Xie, is a Hangzhou veteran. He introduced us to the city, its culture, and its history along the way, and was incredibly knowledgeable about its attractions. It was clear he truly loved the city, and he drew our attention to the changes brought about by its development. We enjoyed the ecological environment of the Xixi Wetlands, the traditional dwellings of the ancient villages, the leisurely atmosphere of Longjing Village, and the cool, tranquil Nine Creeks and Eighteen Streams.
