Hongshan Park is located in the northeast of Chifeng's urban area and was built along the ochre-red Hongshan mountain. It is one of the larger comprehensive parks in the city. In Mongolian, this mountain is called "Ulan Hada," meaning "red peak," which is the origin of Chifeng's city name. The Hongshan Culture is also named after it. A stroll through the park offers a glimpse into the history of this city. The park is known for its water scenery. Crescent Lake, at the foot of Hongshan in the northeast, is named for its crescent shape. Moon-Viewing Bridge and Sister Bridge are built on the east and west sides of the lake, respectively. Between the two bridges, there are garden huts and the Lotus Viewing Bridge. In midsummer, the lotus pond is in full bloom. In the east, Wupan Lake is lined with weeping willows. The island in the center of the lake is connected to the shore by a Nine-Turn Bridge and an arched bridge. The lake is equipped with water recreation facilities such as pleasure boats, making it perfect for boating and sightseeing. On the east bank of Wupan Lake, the Chile Garden is shaded by greenery and dotted with yurts, offering a distinct Mongolian grassland vibe. If you get tired from walking, you can enjoy local ethnic meals there. Remember to look up at the mountain while visiting: on sunny days, the morning glow or sunset reflects on the ochre-red rock face, making the entire mountain look as if it is ablaze. The lake, the arched bridge, and Hongshan in the same frame create a signature view of the park, which is also what sets this park apart from ordinary city parks.Chifeng · 2.9km from downtown

Dada Line is a scenic grassland highway located in Hexigten Banner, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia. It spans approx. 135 km, starting at Dali Lake (which means "lake like the sea" in Mongolian) and ending at the Arshihaty Stone Forest at the southern end of the Greater Khingan Mountains, connecting lake scenery at one end and the stone forest at the other. The route encapsulates typical elements of Inner Mongolia's scenery: when crossing the Gongger Prairie, herds of cattle, sheep, and horses are scattered across the grassland, winding rivers reflect the blue sky and white clouds, and the road seems to stretch endlessly toward the horizon; passing through the Baiyin Aobao Scenic Area, the roadside changes to vast stretches of primitive sandy spruce forests. This type of spruce rooted in sandy soil is rare worldwide, and the lush green forest belt forms a sharp contrast with the open grassland, which is also what distinguishes this route from ordinary grassland highways.Hexigten Banner · 38.5km from downtown

Rehuitang Town is located in the northeastern part of Hexigten Banner, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia, approx. 30 km from Jingpeng Town, the seat of the banner government. It is a small town beyond the Great Wall that flourished due to its hot springs. The hot springs in the town have been developed and used for over 400 years. The spring water gushes from deep underground rock minerals, with temperatures consistently between 48°C–83°C. It is rich in various minerals and trace elements such as lithium and strontium. This area is also the Hot Spring Park of the Hexigten Global Geopark. The fame of the hot springs dates back a long time. According to records, Emperor Taizu and Emperor Taizong of the Liao Dynasty both made special trips here to bathe. Legend has it that after the Battle of Ulan Butong during the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty, Kangxi also bathed here, and the "Kangxi Bathing Well" site remains in the town to this day. Later, when the 9th Panchen Lama visited Jingpeng, he also left behind the "Panchen Bathing Well" here. Today, most hotels in the town are connected to the hot spring pipelines, allowing guests to soak in the springs at any time. To the north of the town lies Huanggangliang National Forest Park. The "Re-A Line," a self-drive prairie route, starts here, passing through forest areas and pastures before reaching the Arshihaty Stone Forest. Attractions such as Gongger Prairie and Dali Lake are also within a 100 km radius, and many tourists use this place as a stopover and transfer point when touring Hexigten. The Jitong Railway passes through the town, with the Galadestai Station located here. This section of the railway, known for its steep climbs and interconnected bridges and tunnels, was once famous for its steam locomotives, attracting photography enthusiasts from all over the world. After winter arrives, the hot spring water flows into the Wuliang Sutai River south of the town. The river surface does not freeze in winter, and the water vapor creates a misty atmosphere. Soaking in the hot springs and then viewing the mist-covered valley is a unique winter experience in the town.Hexigten Banner · 28.9km from downtown

Meilin Valley is located in the southwest of Meilin Town, Haraqin Banner, Chifeng. The scenic area has a cool climate, abundant rainfall, abundant water and grass, and pleasant scenery. There are both steep peaks and numerous rivers, valleys, forests, stone pillars, and stone swords in the canyon. The Xibo River originates from the east side of Jiucailou, Dadianbeigou, Meilin Township. When it flows through the canyon, it gathers many springs in the scenic area. Due to the long-term geological movement and the downward incision of the mountains and waters, 19 alluvial fans and alpine wetland alluvial fans have been formed. , Although the mountain road is rugged, the scenery is beautiful. The beauty of Meilin Valley in late autumn is gorgeous and colorful, especially in the Jiucailou Scenic Area. Due to the high mountains and lush forests, the spring water emerges from the foot of the mountain and descends down the ditch. Other mountain springs gather along the way, forming a rolling river. To say that the beauty is the "South Tower" scenery, walk through the winding road, go straight to the Shifeng more than ten meters high and more than fifty meters long, and you will reach the daunting "overpass". The "overpass" is less than one meter wide and less than one foot narrow, which is both a depression and a challenge to people's courage.Harqin Banner · 46.8km from downtown

Gongger Prairie is located in Hexigten Banner, in the eastern part of Dalai Nur Town, 47 km from Jingpeng Town, and is one of the grasslands closest to Beijing. The beauty of Gongger Prairie lies in its "vast wilderness where horses, sheep, geese, and ducks coexist." Walking on the grassland, rare birds and exotic fowl flutter by from time to time, and cute little animals like hares and deer often appear. In the northeast of the grassland, there is also a precious red-skinned spruce forest, one of only two such forests remaining in the world, known as the "sacred trees." The grassland here is lush with water and grass, and the scenery is beautiful. Several rivers meander through it, adorning Gongger Prairie like a beautiful necklace. In spring, wild flowers dot the landscape, and large numbers of migratory birds such as red-crowned cranes, swans, and wild geese rest here; in summer, the green grass stretches to the sky, and the lakes are crystal clear; in fall, dark green mushroom rings cover the fields; in winter, the wilderness is vast and covered in silver white. The unique grassland ethnic customs and food culture here will allow you to experience the vastness and grandeur of the grassland. Located in the southwest of Gongger Prairie, Dali Lake is a famous lake, with another lake on each of its east and west sides, accompanying it. The lake produces crucian carp, Amur ide, and other fish, which have delicious meat. The west bank of Dali Lake is the site of Yingchang Road, one of the later capitals of the Yuan Dynasty. To the south of the lake isMantuo Mountain, and at its eastern foot is the site of the Yuan Dynasty Longxing Temple. There is a mountain on the north bank of the lake, and there are ancient rock paintings on the side of the cliff, which are imbued with ancient legends.Hexigten Banner · 45km from downtown

Hongshan Museum and Hongshan Park are adjacent to each other, the origin of the city's name Chifeng, and also a landmark scenic spot. It's best to visit in the afternoon, as the setting sun casts a vibrant red glow on the mountains, making for stunning photos. The museum displays artifacts unearthed from the ancient Hongshan Culture, the most famous being the jade dragon, a symbol of Chifeng. The original is currently housed in the National Museum of China, but here it's shown as a 3D projection. The park is now a public park for Chifeng residents, where many people spend holidays.

In the center of the Nanshan Mountain in Reshuitang, there is a martyrs' cemetery to commemorate the six martyrs who died on February 28, 1946. They were killed by counter-revolutionaries who were fighting back against them during the struggle to reduce rent and interest, eliminate bandits and fight tyrants. The revolutionary martyrs will live forever!

The highest peak in Daxinganling, standing on the observation deck and looking at it from afar, it is a small pity that you cannot go in and climb to the top, but the scenery along the way is absolutely beautiful. The green mountains and grasslands, rivers, sheep, fresh air, and clouds that are within reach on the Re'a Line are all beautiful.

Free exhibition, free parking. The courtyard shape, the high steps in the main hall are very imposing. The grassland culture is displayed, and the Hongshan lineage is inherited. There are few people on weekdays, and the atmosphere is very quiet, suitable for taking a long time to see. The Mongolian chess carvings are exquisite, and I looked at them one by one for a long time.

Chifeng Hongshan National Forest Park is a truly treasured gem! Not only are there unique Hongshan cultural relics here, but climbing to the summit offers panoramic views of Chifeng city. The fresh air in the mountains and forests makes for a stroll that evokes both a sense of history and the tranquility of nature, making it a perfect spot for both families and friends. After your visit, I highly recommend trying the nearby Chifeng 43°9 Lamb Hotpot Qiaobei Branch—it's a perfect treat for your taste buds! Their mutton is fresh and authentic, tender and not greasy. The rich, rich broth, combined with the local vegetables, is a truly heartwarming experience. The service is attentive and the atmosphere is cozy. After a day of sightseeing, a steaming hot pot is the perfect accompaniment, adding a touch of satisfaction to your trip.

The wind blows the grass low and the cattle and sheep appear. It's great. Sheep and horses cross the road in groups. The folk customs are simple and honest. As long as you don't step on other people's bottom line, it's still very harmonious. The Dada Line and the Re'a Line are picturesque, but the food and accommodation are expensive, and the quality is not good!
